Memento mori, Latin: "Remember that you will die", is the medieval theory and practice of reflection on mortality.  Memento Mori reminders were wildly popular in 14th and 15th century Medieval Europe.

This keychain is a nod to that tradition, and on the reverse side includes the phrase “Memento Vivere” which translates to “remember to live".  Essentially, know that your time is short in the grand scheme of things, so enjoy life while you are here. Together they reflect the beautiful balance between accepting mortality and embracing life.
